The luna stage for Envision 2026 was a monumental technically and architecturally comprehensive Installation for a world renowned bass stage in the Jungle of Costa Rica. This hybrid design melded elements from both gothic and southeast asian architectural styles while integrating into the tropical environment of the Coastal Uvita junglescape.
Having worked closely with the production for four previous years, Envision entrusted us with the full contract taking on the structural design and management of the stage sub structure, and the full design and installation of the scenic portion of the stage. The fifth year of our collaboration with the festival was also a blueprint year for them having restructured much of the festival and combined the two main stages into one with a new format. This required a ground up structural redesign and an innovative approach to the scenic elements and tech integration.
We worked closely with the lighting designer and the projection artist to create a visual experience that was fully integrated into the architecture of the stage itself. The result was a mind bending theatrical experience that pushed the boundaries of a musical event’s visual and immersive spectacle without sacrifice to the intimacy of the experience as a whole.
