In 2018 I flew out to Idanha-Nova, Portugal to spend two and a half months as part of build team for the Alchemy Circle Village at Boom Festival. I was one of two hired carpenters working alongside a team of volunteers. During this time we designed and built a variety of creative infrastucture for the village including furniture, garden sculptures, decking, planters, bike racks, and anything else that needed to be fabricated. We also built the MOVA(museum of visionary art) Gallery and equiped it with gallery walls, bleacher seating, and a deck for live painters. Android Jones had brought his “Microdose VR” installation to the MOVA Galery, and our team was tasked with fabricating the wooden dodecahedron forms that people would step inside to have the virtual reality experience.
